Browser Plug-In Deployment
This section provides a step-by-step guide to deploying the HawkShield browser plug-in. Follow the instructions to install, verify, and manage the browser plug-in effectively.
System Requirements
Supported Browsers:
Google Chrome: Version 69.0.3497.100 (64-bit) and above
Mozilla Firefox: Version 63.0 and above
Internet Explorer: Version 11.245.17143.0
Microsoft Edge: Version 42.17134.1.0 and above
Safari (Desktop): Version 12 and above
Additional Requirements:
JavaScript must be enabled.
Pop-up blockers should be disabled.
A screen resolution of at least 1024×768 is recommended.
Installation Process for Users
Step 1: Access the Extension: Go to the official HawkShield Browser Extension page.
Step 2: Install the Extension:
Click on the Add to Chrome (or equivalent for your browser) button.
Review the extension details and select Add Extension to confirm installation.
Step 3: Enable the Extension:
Open your browser’s extensions section.
Locate Manage extension and select Pin icon opposite the Hawkshield for easy access.
Click on the HawkShield plug-in from the extension menu bar, and pop-up will appear for login and logout.
User Authentication
After successful installation, a pop-up window will appear offering two sign-in options: Google or Microsoft.
Choose your preferred option and sign in using your credentials.
To log out, click the HawkShield icon in the browser and select Logout.
