How to Create SaaS Policy

To create a SaaS policy in HawkShield DSPM, follow these steps:

Step 1: Initiate Process Click the "Add New Policy" button on the Policy Dashboard to open the configuration form.

Step 2: Policy Details Enter the Policy Name and a brief Description. Choose the Severity Level (Low, Medium, High, Critical), select SaaS as the Policy Type, and click Next.

Step 3: Match Criteria

  • Select the appropriate SaaS Connector from the dropdown list.

  • Choose between Entities or Compliance and provide the required details.

  • (Optional Feature) Configure file properties like File Extension, File Name, or File Exposure for better policy precision.

  • Click Next to proceed.

Step 4: Assign User Select users or departments from the displayed list. To apply the policy to all users, check the box next to ‘Username’. Click Next to continue.

Step 5: Configure Notification Alerts

  • Provide the Admins Email Address for notifications

  • Select the notification channel.

  • Activate ‘Notify Owner’ to alert the alert admins.

  • Use the Unified Notification System to schedule notification timing (immediate or end-of-day).

  • Click “Next” to proceed further.

Step 6: Review and Save the Policy Review all the policy details. If changes are required, click ‘Back’ to make edits. Once confirmed, press ‘Save & Finish’ to finalize the policy.

A confirmation message will appear to confirm successful policy creation.
